Welcome to Year 7 at All Saints Catholic High School
At All Saints we work closely with a range of primary schools to ensure a smooth transition from Year 6 to Year 7. For us, relationships between home and school are highly valued. It is important that we work together to ensure that children have a positive start to secondary school. With this in mind, we regularly invite pupils from Years 5 and 6 to visit All Saints so they can become familiar with the school environment, make new friends and meet a range of staff from different departments.
In the summer term, our transition staff and the House Progress Leaders visit each school to meet pupils and share information with their current teacher. This sharing of information is crucial for us to be able to correctly support each child through their transition to secondary school. We hold parents’ meetings at each of our feeder primary schools so that parents, as well as pupils, can have their questions answered.
During the summer term, there will also be a full transition day when all pupils attending All Saints in September can spend a day together. Pupils will meet their form and tutor and take part in a range of lessons. This year’s date is Wednesday 3 July 2019.
